Serge, you have one of the best organized shops that I have seen. You have a lot going on in there but your organizational skills help you utilize the available work space well. Having windows in your shop is a plus as well. I am a firm believer in getting as much natural light as possible into the shop. It looks like you have ample headroom in there to work and using overhead space for storage is an effective use of "dead" space.

You have a nice set of tools to play with as well. And your miter saw set-up is certainly unique. I would have fun working in there.

Thanks for posting pictures of your shop. I enjoyed visiting with you.

Thank you guys for this warm welcome (merci Albut). I believe that as anyone else my shop is too small. It should at least double in size, the ceiling one foot higher, and above the ground so I could get more natural light. Did you noticed on the photos that I hung fluorescent light fixtures on the walls. I was wondering why I felt so good in my buddy's garage workshops. I realized it was because of the natural light coming from the windows. After thoughts, I came up that perhaps the brain is proprammed to get light from the walls, not the ceiling. I tried it and the difference is huge. I have four of them.

During the last 14 years of my professionnal career I worked as Organization and Methods Analyst. This could be the reason why I try to be that organized in my shop.

If you felt the visit was too short, see more pictures of my too small basement workshop click here for more from my website.

Best,

Serge

Serge, obviously not the first one to say it and for certain not the last, GREAT SHOP!!! I have devoted My share of thought, time and effort(or so I thought) to getting My shop to where it is today, but after visiting Yours,I see now just how short I've come up. It is My hope to one day, be in a state of wood working preparedness such as Yourself. Thanks for the inspiration

I have seen many of your ideas expressed in jigs and fixtures. I really admire you for your knowledge and your willingness to share. I do not know many woodworkers who do so many things right. Great shop and web site. Hope I can grow up to be just like you.
