My Antipolo hills home project made from recycled wood.
Hi fellow LJs, I would like to share with you and invite you into my home, my heart and soul! Together with my team of students, I started building my house in 1998 for my wife and two daughters. It is located on a severe slope on top of a hill with a majestic view of Laguna de bay. It has been a 12 year work in progress and it's almost done. It is my tribute and testament to Filipino ingenuity, design and craftsmanship. It is where I get all of my design inspirations. The entire house is totally made from reclaimed wood. the roof tiles were also salvaged from an old house. It's a pity though that the video interview I have on file is in Tagalog, my native dialect. It's still worth viewing though just click on the link below. I hope to inspire others on the possibilities and uses of recycled construction materials and its potential beauty.
