Project Information
These have recently been completed. The mirror was a pattern from a wood and crafts magazine recently as was the letter opener. The clock however I cant recall where I got the pattern from.
The thickness of the wood, which I believe to be rosewood, is pretty thin at 10mm. So I decided to stack cut them. I used a crown tooth blade as that gave a smooth cut inside so I didn't have to worry about sanding. It might have been a #7.
The actual cutting didn't take all that long as I remember but I did have one mistake I made. The blade was slightly at an angle and as I stack cut the wood the bottom piece (which turned out to be this one) had very thin cuts indeed. But thankfully none cut right through- so it added to the project!
I love wood, sometimes you make a mistake and it turns out better !
