I made these cherry chello stands as Christmas presents for my nieces 2 years ago. I carved their initials on the uprights (don't want any fights over whose is whose).
I can tell you that there is a 5" offset at the base and the feet hang out the front 5". I believe the angle is 39 degrees for the junction of the upright and the feet. It may take a little trial and error to get it right for a guitar. One of tese days I need to make one for my guitar. I added a side shot. Hope that helps
Greetings Dan:... Good- looking stands you made for the nieces. They'll get some good use out of those for sure. They look a lot like the guitar stands I built this year for my guitar collection. I posted them on a blog sometime back here on LJs. Your's is cherry….. mine was oak…..... a good home-made instrument stand is hard to beat. Most of them in the music stores is crap, and cheap made… stellar job…..keep on keeping on… later.
