Project Information

Well, the military went crazy and blocked access to just about every web site out there, so I was no longer able to access the LumberJocks site after my last entry. I finally finished my time in the war zone and I am currently in Germany on my way back to the good old USA. Before I got out, several different people were hitting me up for all kinds of shelves, benches and other goodies. I couldn't get them all done, so I passed the reigns on to another woodworker who just arrived. It cost me $80 to send my DeWalt tools back home. I do want to thank everyone for the support while I was over in Afghanistan dodging IEDs and rockets. One of the worst attacks in Kabul happened on my way out of town - I guess the Taliban didn't want me to leave. Well, enough of my rambling…

I wade a tool box on wheels to store all of the tools I left behind. My last two projects were a custom desk and a bench for the showers in a new housing building they are still working on. We were in the process of building a two story addition to our office that I was helping with when I left.

I guess now I will have to build some non-scrap wood items to post to the site. I finished my new workshop 3 days before I deployed, but now I need to find a new job that will bring in the income. I heard there might be people needing chairs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area - let me know if you know anything about chairs.

Thanks for Supporting the Troops!

LT Steven Deputy (USN), from the Army of One Less, because I am outta there!

Welcome back LT. Coming home from deployment is truly overwhelming and awesome. How long were you there? My second (of three) was 16 months long. Getting back to the home shop is very nice indeed.
