Project Information

I guess the celtic knot is taking a front seat in some of my pen work.

This is a chrome cigar in Goncalo Alves with osage orange bands and a four-ring knot of bloodwood and osage orange. The pen is finished with a typical CA process: sanding seal using thin CA, Micro Mesh, several coats of medium CA followed by wetsanding with Micro Mesh and buffed out with Plastic Polish.

I really like that one, Gary. The laminations on the ends of the blanks as well as the knot really make that a nice pen. Good job!

this one did come out very nice. I like the idea of the two-tone double knot.

Thanks,
I think the wood combos on this work well.
The photos are really poor; I need to reshoot it to try really showing some detail.
The rings, as is typical, go from side grain to end grain and
end grain osage orange or bloodwood is spectacular looking.
