I'm thinking for putting a Hock or Lie-Nielsen replacement blade in my Stanley 60 1/2. I am wondering if I should just be patient and get really good with the tool and put a good blade in it. Or, if I shouldn't put any more money into it and just get the Lie-Nielsen plane instead.
Update on my 8" Steel City Industrial jointer. I am very pleased with it. It is powerful, has very little vibration, the built in mobile base works great, it's relatively quiet, and the quality of cut certainly meets my expectations. I actually can't think of anything on the machine that I am not happy with.
