Massachusetts and Connecticut area

Anyone out there from this area? I was thinking of possible future get-togethers, meetings and any other ideas that may arise. There is a 3 day woodworking show at the Eastern States Fairgrounds in january 2010. Here is a link: http://cms.thewoodworkingshows.com/cms/Home/NewEngland18110/tabid/166/Default.aspx
Well if anyone is interested lets see what we can get started.

Lets start our own chapter!

Hi. I am just seeing this today (1/8/10). I am not in MA or CT but in your neighboring state of RI. Ellen and Craftsman mention a NE get-together that took place in Lexington in 2009. That meeting was graciously organized by Purplev. I have contacted him and told him I would like to organize something for NE LJs this year. I have some thoughts on it but it seems to me that no earlier than Spring is the way to go. I know we are hearty New Englanders but for safety reasons (driving) as well as the possibility of arranging a date(s) only to have to postpone or cancel due to weather makes me want to wait for Spring/Summer. How do you folks feel about that. I came to this post via a link that read "MA/CT". There is another one that reads "New England/NH". I am going to post a similar comment on that link too.

Also, do you think we are wise to leave it at New England or instead, further break it down to areas of NE, states, or specific regions of the states, etc.?

Hello Neighbor
I Just saw your comment on the post for the 2011 WWshow in W.Springfield , and checked out your homepage.
I'm in Westfield and have quite a busy work schedule , but if you and some other locals want to get together for a coffee or something some evening or on a Sunday , let me know : )
We could even meet at WoodCraft in W.Springfield and possibly harass the good folks there : )
Thanks ,
Len
