Project Information

Red oak TV stand. Its been a few years since I made a fairly large piece of furniture. You can tell by this piece. I tried to hide most of the issues with partial success. :) I think it is still pretty though. Clear textured stained glass and oak trees carved into the front bottom panels.

Gift for one of my neighbors who has helped me immensely this last year. Extremely lucky to have wonderful neighbors willing to help on anything on a second's notice.

Very nice! Did you just do a clear coat, or is it not finished yet? Also, I wish there were closer pictures of the carving. Power caving? Gouges? CNC?

Thanks. Its still raw wood. My neighbor wants to finish it so it will match the rest of their furniture. Gave it to him last October. He told me he plans on finishing it in the next few weeks as soon as the rain stops.

The tree pattern was done by cnc. I am not very organized with my pictures. I know I have a picture of the carving in one of my hard drives or camera cards but just not sure which one. I do have a picture of the pattern itself though, so will put it up.

Very nice piece, just, looks like to high from my point of view. Shouldn't TV stand in hight of eyes, when sitting?

Thank you. The height is at my neighbor's request. They have a large screen tv and the sitting is fairly far away. So it fits in their circumstance.
