Project Information
This is one of my latest projects and the story goes somthing like this! During the summer months I work for a Musical Instrument Repair shop. We have many benches but only a couple have drawers to stoe away tools. This proved to be somewhat annoying to store many tools on the bench where they get in the way. Here, above, is the solution to this problem.
This is my first attempt at drawer making and I thought it turned out quite well. Made of poplar and hung on 2×4 under the bend top, I used my PC dovetailing jig and router to fasten the pieces together. The sliders may have been a little bit of an over kill with a 100lb weight limit but when open, the drawer can be used as an arm rest during breaks! HAHA! The drawer pull was somewhat of a after thought so its nothing more than a piece of walnut trim that I had left over from another project. I just gouged out the underside so that there was somthing to grab onto. No big deal…
All comments positive and negative are welcome as this is how I learn!
