Project Information

This is my First serious cabinet making attempt. Many thanks to Cameron, Bill and Chad for advice and help.

A friend asked me to build a coffee table for her, when she found out I had access to a shop, and gave me some very good mesurements to work with. My actual order was "About half the kitchen table long, and a bit narrower, with a split top for storage."

I had a lot of fun working on it, and learned 2 things…
1) Box joints look good, but take forever to get right!, and glueing is a pain in the backside
2) Always use scrap wood to calibrate! I ended up making one panel over because I wasn't sure about how to adjust the equipment.

Wow, Beth!!

Those box joints turned out great!!

At least with those specifications, it is difficult to go wrong!

Very nice cabinet!

I like to see more pine projects. I have access to a lot of pine and I'm watching for ideas on how to use it.
