Project Information
Before my trip to The American School of French Marquetry I made a pair of twin veneer hammers for Patrick Edwards and Patrice Lejeune as a gift. I've made this design before, but added a brass ring around the tenon this time. The handle is again modeled after an antique French scraper handle. The wood is rescued Gabon Ebony and the finish is Shellac.
I'm not quite sure how to upload videos here, so here is video #1 and video #2 on making the brass ring.

I sanded the ebony up to 2,000 grit. Unnecessary, but fun.
