Project Information

Carving is fun. I live in the city so it's hard to carve. I like my neighbors and they like me so running a gas saw isn't in my best interest. I've been on the search for a good electric saw.

Not sure about this Makita. Chain speed is a little slow so it digs hard. I haven't been able to get a decent carving out of it. Might try a Stihl saw that some experienced carvers seem to like.

got a stihl and cant say enough,i didn't use it for 4 or 5 years then had a tree to take down,fueled it up pulled the cord and fired up like it was brand new!i know some will put stihl down but its never let me down!just givn my honest opinion.

Cool, Beats the throw away variety. Built wood ones for my wife too, but not with a chain saw…...yet… Nice job.

Great work.

The best chainsaw that I ever owned; and I have had about 6, was a Huskavarna; although the only Stihl that I had owned was well ABUSED before I ever owned it. It was till an O.K. saw after that-just started hard.
