Project Information

After nearly burning my fingers a few times attempting to pull small pieces of toasted bread from the toaster, I decided to carve a quick retrieving tool to assist me. I don't understand why toasters don't come with these… if anybody here on LJ owns a toaster company, maybe we can swing a deal and I'll carve these unique tools for their product….LOL

It is about 7 inches in length and carved from apple wood.

That's such a big problem I'm surprised it too so long to come up with. That should lighten up the load on many emergency burn units.
A real boon to mankind and medicine.
Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use a fork to get toast out of the toaster but it sure your carving sure does look a lot nicer. Looks like 2 people.

I have used a fork to get toast out before. It sure can curl your hair if you hit the wrong spot. haha

This looks a LOT nicer. ( and safer )

Keep it up.

I've used forks on occasion in the past… but deep in the folds and recesses of my gray matter lurks a fear of the interaction of the metal of the fork prongs and the idea of inserting it into the depths of an electrified unit. I have checked on those occasions that I wasn't standing in a puddle of water or spilt milk…. LOL

That fear was the driving force of this invention.

Nice job. Funny, I have that same reaction to putting a metal fork into my toaster :)
