Another gorgeous piece Trifern. I can only wonder where you get your wood. I haven't seen one of your turnings yet that I wouldn't love to have, and I'm a turner myself.

Joe, I think your pieces are getting horrible and you should be ashamed that you even have them. So, having said that, feel free to give me all the ones you are ashamed of and send them to….....................
LOL, very nice. Keep them coming.

Another great piece. I'm always amazed at how you can get such a clean surface with a wipe on finish.

How about a little lesson on how you do your photog. I'd really like to know for one. It really adds class to the piece. Thanks m

Thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate them all.

Mike, I use a home made photo box to shoot my pieces in. The frame is constructed of PVC pipe. The two sides and top are white foam core. The back and bottom is a window shade. I use a 500 watt shop light on the right side, pointed straight up for lighting. I use a piece of foam core angled on the right and left to bounce light in the shadows. It works fairly well and cost less than $30 to make. I set my camera exposure for tungsten light and set the ASP to either 50 or 100. The photos are then imported to photobucket and auto corrected and cropped if necessary.

Thanks for the feedback.

Dusty, this is all natural maple - no dye. I have been saving this piece of wood until my skills were good enough to turn it. I had every intention on dyeing this piece. After opening it up and seeing the wood grain and natural color, I could not bring myself to adding any color.
