Project Information

Here at Lumberjocks we are all about safety in the shop but we should alway strive to be safe in our homes as well. Recently, a friend of mine had a minor accident at home that included a modest amount of bleeding. Not being able to locat a Band-Aid, and being a resourceful person, he sought out the only other thing that seemed practical, a panty liner. He reports that it worked well. To assure that he is always (no pun intended) able to locate one in the future I spent 15 min. in the shop and fashioned this emercency device. I wil not be patenting this in the future and offer it for all to copy.

I recommend the "thin" for taking care of bleeders; I cut them into whatever size I need and wrap with duct tape.

Real men use superglue, not women's panty liners. They also sell something called liquid skin which is probably better, but not as manly.

Another herb that is great for any hemorrhaging internally or externally is cayenne pepper. For a bad cut, just slap some right on the wound. If you are bleeding internally, mix a heaping tablespoon into a glass of water and drink. It does not get hot until you cook it. But if you are diabetic it will raise your blood glucose level.
It is also a great pain reliever. Same dose as internal bleeding as needed. It really takes the edge off arthritis pain.
Let's see a panty liner do that. lol

I've seen something similar with a condom inside. How that's an emergency…

Hit "Roll the Dice" feature and this is what popped up. Love this project! Clean lines, simple design and well executed construction. A much needed item for every workshop emergency. (thank you for the hint about Tumeric also, will be adding it to the first-aid kit)
