Project Information

Shout out to LJ Jeffery Mullen, who posted the inspiration for this project a few months ago. Here is the link to Jeffery's project.

I made this for my 5YO granddaughter to practice tying her shoes. Nothing fancy-just 1/4" plywood,a black Sharpie and a 27" lace.

EDITED to include the link to the inspiration project.

Good idea Don. I may have to steal this for a certain 6 yo boy.

Pretty fancy, Don! I like the detail you put into it with the sharpie. Could also be done with a wood burner. Hmmm
Thanks, to you and Jeffery, for sharing!

Thanks for the positive comments! The real credit should go to Jeffery though. We are driving to Missouri on Thursday to give it to her-I hope it's a big hit.

Hi Don. Great idea for a very useful and low cost device.
I would like to add a suggestion for your consideration, as well as for all of the LJ's who read this. I'm going to talk to our local hospital Physiotherapist, to see if your idea would help patients who are regaining the use of their hands following an injury or stroke. Personally, I see this as a potentially beneficial tool for those patients.

Hi Don,
I'll let you know what kind of response I get.
Maybe we'll see some other feedback from LJ's members?
Have a great day.

John - Since postings to projects don't bump the project to the top, I might suggest that you start a forum post seeking input. Thanks.
