Another bridge in snow scene. I really thought it was a pretty scene, and I love the way they turn out on red cedar. This one is 11×14 1/2.
I had a heck of a time trying to get a good photo of it. Lots of glare. Finally had to settle for one of them.
Anyone out there have any suggestions on taking photos of finished wood pieces to eliminate glare?

Beautifull piece! Great art work!

On taking photos without glare: I try for natural daylight. The more light you have you can do without the flash and that will elliminate a lot of the glare.

Also, try Kodak software. It will allow you to edit the pictures and remove more glare and shadows.

Again, Fantastic piece of art.

Keep it up.

Nice work. How are you doing this? Wood burning?

On the photos, I use natural light too. Light over cast is best. Protect from the sky directly above and shoot at an angle to help eliminate it.

Very nice - lots of detai! Great job!

I agree with the others with regards to photo tips: try to avoid flash; use natural daylight whenever possible. Also, I like to use a circular polarizer to help eliminate reflected light.

Thanks for the nice comments and great advice. In answer to TopamaxSurvivor, yes it is a woodburning.
Thanks again, I will try natural light and see if that helps.
