Project Information

When we first moved to Florida in '04 the backyard had no structure just bad grass. This was one of the first projects I started. Note because of the wet nature of the region all the wood used was treated. I used mortise and tendon to interconnect all the major pieces so no fasteners would show from the front or back. The second photo shows the arbor covered with honeysuckle and trumpet vine.

Love your arbor but you have to upgrade from those plastic chairs, lol. Just kidding, I need to rebuild our arbor and I am going to use some of your ideas.

Thanks,

I'm a hard core recycler. Found the chairs by the side of the road. The bricks were also a find. For some reason people here will toss items that can be easily reused. Found a porter cable pancake air compressor half full of water that needed a $3.oo seal and now works good as new.
