Nice. By applying many coats of whatever to the top, can you harden it up a decent amount compared to its natural softness?

This burial was originally perched in 1975 in northern cal. So I'm not sure if that it is a root burial or the age but it was not that soft to start with. I put on six coats of rub on poly and another 4 coats of past wax. the top seems very tough.

im glad you brought this out a real shame for something that gorgeous to be hidden away,i love natural tables like this you cant beat what nature can create,great job i know youll enjoy it,
