Project Information

Here are a few pictures of a hay bailer that was scratch built by a friend from down under by name of Harold Manwaring. This is some of the most meticulous work I have seen. The model actually bails hay. He can power the bailer from a model steam tractor running on air.

Tell Harold Manwaring he is a genius. That is just brilliant. Like others have said you must put it on youtube so we can see it in action.

Totaly crazy! So sofisticated and it's made of wood! This is also challenging engineering project.

I love this beautiful piece. It's full of creative design and masterful craftsmanship and belongs in a well attended museum. Of course the reason that this is a masterpiece is that it is made out of wood and actually works. It is not meant to be used but to be admired as a thing of beauty. Who would not love to have this beauty in a corner of their study? Would it not be an outstanding piece of eye candy and a wealthy man's conversation piece? It's a toy that is fit for a king.

As a former farm boy who carried a lot of square hay bales, that's freakin awesome. I've seen the pully driven ones a the fair, but never one made completely of wood and look so elegant. Love it.
