Project Information

Hi, Every woodworker.

It past 1 year since my last posting.
Long time, no see.

I made this without any electric power,
just as a trial for myslef.
and I'm so happy and proud of me that I could do it.

Wood : Cherry , Chamjook(Korean , butterfly key)
Dimension : 1350(L) X 650(D) X 400(H) mm
joinery : tapered sliding dovetail / tenon&mortise / butterfly key
Finishing : Not yet ( I'll use tung oil )

thanks for your nice words.
The pattern(symbol) of the leg is one of the Korean traditional one representing "Bat",
desiring "bearing many young".
I love this leg, too.

Jaeyoel, I saw your blog and was happy to see several pictures of your table in making. I congratulate you for not using any electrical equipment but only hand tools. That shows your skill and patience. The design of the legs is very attractive and meaningful. I am impressed by the perfect cutting of the curves in the leg with scroll saw and your dovetail joinery. Hope to see more such projects from you.

Wow, this is great. I would never imagine that this could build without electric tools if you don't tell me. I wish I could do the same…

Some great work. I like the style of this one.

It would not be the same without the arch in the bottom stretcher. I like how the design in the legs takes the eye up to the butterfly key, which you left standing proud - nice effect.

Don't stay away for so long!

I love how you attached the top to the legs. I wonder what a footstool sized one would look like, hmmmmm.
