Project Information

In keeping up with this year's resolution to get organized, I made a cart to house all my hardware. I had screws, nuts, washers, bolts, nails, hinges, you name it, all over the shop. But unlike my other carts this one is made completely out of wood (MDF) instead of wood with a steel frame. I caught a sale at the hardware store and purchased 20 storage containers, 4 large, 8 medium and 8 small. The cart is double sided so it holds 10 containers per side. I cut dado slots in the side panels of the cart for the runners, allowing a gap, so the trays slide easily. I doubled up a ¾" piece of MDF for the top and CNC carved the design on the doors to emulate the drawers from my other carts. Painted it to match and included the handles. Now I have ample storage for all my hardware in one place, it's mobile and I have a home for my planner!

Plenty of storage for hardware, and a cart for your planer. Nicely done.

That is sweet. Also, the cleanest planer cart I have ever seen. Just don't turn that thing on:)
