Project Information

This mission style queen size bed was constructed using Australian Lacewood and Maple. The plugs shown in the detail picture are made from Peruvian Walnut. This was a fun project and required a lot of planning to keep all the slats vertical and parallel. I also discovered I am allergic to lacewood. Contact with the dust resulted in a rash.

Gorgeous! I work a lot of lacewood and it will often cause a rash for me as well from fine sanding dust. I've learned to research the toxicity properties of any new exotic that I work.
