Project Information

Lots and lots of plywood here along with a bunch of glue. I finished it last month. I'm still working on some shop funiture (outfeed table and miter saw cabnets) . After I finish that the "real" projects will get going.

It doubles as an out feed table right now for the 1949 Unisaw that belonged to my dad.

Looks really nice!

So it appears the legs are laminated plywood. How is the top constructed?

are you going to route a slot in the table top for your miter gauge bar to slide into in case you ever need to use it ?

I'm in the process right now of building an outfeed table. I'll move the bench to another location in the shop so no slots on the bench. I'll slot the outfeed table. I'm trying different finishes on the outfeed table. It started out with some old stain/poly stuff that was old. It looked terrible so I'm painting the table white. I plan to put some laminated top on so it will slide easy.

Lowe's had some MDF with the Formica on it in 4X8 sheets but only have one sheet left. For some reason the last sheet is never the best quality one. Funny how that happens.

Anyway, I want to get the shop furniture done so I can get after building some home furniture.

Thank you guys for the nice comments. This forum seems to have a lot of great guys.

Really great job… I like that it functions for outfeed support as well as a bench.

Awesome looking bench! Really like the aluminum draw pulls, going to borrow that idea for mine. I'll keep an eye out for the outfeed table pics.

Cool use of plywood scraps (for legs)...

Where else did you use plywood?

Nice bench!

Thank you.

I just noticed what looks to be "aluminum angle" used as drawer Pulls…
Is that what I am seeing?
What a C O O L & classy way to get a Pull!
