Beautiful board! Thanks for sharing. How did you cut the juice groove? On a router table or using a template? Thanks.

I agree that is a lot of work and I am not even thinking about making a board like these beauties .
I have a edge grain board with a little design feature under way if it turns out I may even post it .
Keep teasing and inspire us with your boards !

I adhere 3/4" scrap stock to the perimeter of the board with two-sided tape and carefully use a bearing guided core box bit with a plunge router. Wish I had a CNC machine.

Hi Neighbor! Beautiful work. I bet some of that wood came from C.P. Johnsons. But where did you get the purple heart? (Im up in Opal.)

This is a nice sturdy cutting board. I'm sure it could double as a butcher block. Whoever gets it will surely enjoy it.

Now that is a special cutting board. Great design, great contrast and as everyone has said, great work.

Yep. I get a great deal of quality wood from Chris at CP Johnson. Need to get in there and see him soon. The purpleheart (and most of my exotics) come from Vienna Hardwood. Getting ready to do a field trip up there soon as well.

Perfect pattern and colours. It would be on my wall, not under my knife!

Beautiful board, one of the best designs I've seen, good work on the juice groove too… Those can be tricky!
Your centered finger grooves are a great idea too, allows use of both sides of the board unlike those that are just routed on one face of the board. Kudos!
