Project Information

Here is the beginning stages of a shadow box I am constructing for a good friend. The box is made of Texas Pecan and I used Maple for the drawers. The stain is Watco's walnut oil. The overall dimensions are 36"W x 4"D x 34"T. I still need to attach the left and right doors to the box. I will post the final build with contents once finished.

Another wonderful piece - are you sure youhave only been doing woodworking for a year? This shawdow box is something your friend will cherrish.

This is a real nice box the most detailed that i have seen.I am looking to build one for my father but just can not decide which one and how to display all his medals.He is a 20 year marine gunny that served in Vietnam in late 68 and 69 with the VMO2.I sure hope that i got that right.He deserves to have a special one
