Project Information

I had bought a 6" X 6" block of the Burl that was about 8" long. I decided to make a box out of it. I used a piece of Spalted Maple for the top.
I put Dovetails on the corners I kind of looked dah when I finished it. I decided to put some curves in it or toss it. I thought it turned out okay. Someone will buy it.

Majuvia I have seen a few boxes made this way and can you share what tool you used in cutting those curves. I thought it would be a hand grinder but wondered what type of grinding wheel you use…it is a special one?

I used Behlen's Sealant, followed up with 3 coats of Behlen's Instrument Lacquer.
