Project Information

Keeping up with Rockbuster and Bob Wemm is near impossible at the rate they both put projects out. Don (Rockbuster) inspired Bob and I …or kind of challenged Bob and I to make a single M&M dispenser using a plan he sent to us. I was trailing behind them both but I got that project done and posted it on LJ's. Then Don said " try an make a double". Bob post his double in no time at all!! I think I was set up!! LOL!

It's been a few days now after that double challenge but I finally got around to making a Double M&M dispenser.
I may have come in late with my double model but I have trumped both of them by adding my version of a non jamming automatic retracting candy slider using a rubber band! Say that fast 3 times! ")

Hope you like it!

Mahogany, Box Joints, Lacquer Finish. Overall dimensions 5" W x 9" L x 5 1/2" H
Knob's are wood, sealed using sanding sealer then I painted them with white enamel spray paint to look like porcelain.

Here's a link to a video slide show that shows the building of a M&M dispenser I made earlier. I didn't follow the plan to the letter for this one.

Thanks for looking in!

WELL!!!! Pooh.
Man. you really did Trump me, I look at this and see a perfect and result, Congratulations Mate.
The only problem is that you had to buy the knobs and feet, when you could have made them yourself. That is if you had a lathe. LOL.
I think it's time that Carol allowed some room on the Dining Table, a mini lathe doesn't take up a lot of space.
Lucky I am so far away hey. LOL
Thanks for sharing this.

Your welcome Dave! You got me thinking about maybe finding some really good quality latex free rubber bands.

Dr. Ken, Thanks for the nice words! I would love to meet up with you someday. We are about 2 hours from you!

Thanks HuckD. This turned out better than I thought it would!

Bob, A lathe would be nice but for what I do….. spending $4.99 on a few wooden knobs and feet vs $499.00 works for me at this time in my life. I would be tempted if I had more square footage in my undersized 2 car garage which is so jam packed as it is , we have no basement here in Florida. But don't get me wrong, I would hand over that $499.00 or even more $$$ right quick if space were not the issue. Carol would say go for it! She such a peach, lets me have all the toys I want! :)

PS. Dam… she said YUP you can have all the toys you want but keep them in the shop! LOL!!!

Tony, I received the plans this morning. Thank you. Can't wait to give it a try! I can only hope that mine comes out half as good as yours. I got some free cherry lumber from a local lumber yard and I needed a project for it, I think this is it. Thanks for posting such a beautiful project and for your kindness!

Nicely done! Now I'm waiting for someone to come up with one that requires a coin-nothing fancy, any coin would work. Just trying to think of something that would slow my grandchildren down a little.

Brent,
I have been thinking the same thoughts myself. Maybe we should fill them with sugar free candy.

Thank you for your compliment marivan57

I've been trying to catch up on the compliments that I have received. For some reason my email in lumberjocks got corrupted and I haven't received any email in some time now. I'm still trying to get that issue fixed.
