Project Information

One of the latest chairs, more like a throne I guess. Someone on my last post mentioned that they wanted to see more chairs. This one is redwood roots and maple burl, the burl I salvaged off of a near by river, defiantly a challenge to wrangle out. The roots I collected here and there down the coast.
Its been in the works for over a year I kept putting it on the back burner and finally wrapped it up not too long ago. Im pretty stoked on the form and on how this baby sits. Its a sweet piece for sure.

With all your root projects, do you just cut them off trees? You seem to find a lot of them.

a lot of times putting a piece off until all of it comes clear in your head is what is needed, the inspiration comes and a beautiful chair is born…its gorgeous jeffro, i love the mix of redwood and burl, i also really enjoy chairs, i would like to see a recliner like this…have you ever had a commision for one…
