Project Information

Hi,

Next part of a previously shared project A small cabinet with organic drawer front, this desk permit to explore an other way to use my plunge saw.

Here is a video that show you how I made this desk board. It's a mix of oak veneer and maple.

Maybe it can inspire someone here.

And here is the final desk.

Boris: That is just wonderful. I love it when new tools bring on new ways of making things. And you have just done that. My regards.

Beautiful desk. Curious as to why you push your track saw backwards. Did you find it splinters less or something?

Thank you Marcus. Yes, I push my track saw backwards to have a cleaner cut. It's possible because the cut depth is 2mm only.

Have to say, Boris, I realy like your work. Modern, simple and yet refined.
Think that the wide frame sort of keeps the slightly busy inlay in place and gives i calm feeling to the whole desk.
Thank you for sharing!

PhillipRCW, generally my work do not come from nowhere. It was a combination of my own ideas and web inspirations. That's why I'm happy to share it. Starts from something you like and make your own creation.
