Back in the shop

After a small break for Labor day I went into the shop today and am starting to finish some projects that I have been working on for awhile. The biggest one being a votive candle holder made of purple heart and lyptus. I just glued the legs on and am going to finish it. I have been working on this project for at least a year. Will post pics when I am done.

Back in the shop

Well, I was finally able to get iinto the shop and start on getting ready for Christmas. A few weeks ago I had set up my route table to do some jointing. I am glad I did. I have used the hell out of it today.

I have been busy cutting some purple heart and pine and some other stuff. In going through the cutoff pile I found a few more pieces that I can use, (like some oak). The oak was the perfect width, I will need to cut it to length. But, it has felt just so good to get in the shop and do something that I just had to say something.

Unfortunately SWMBO has requested that the desk I was going t start this week is once again on hold so I can get Christmas out of the way. Oh well, when she speaks I listen.

I am making some more votive candle holders and a routed sign for my Instructor, (his wife gave birth to a boy on Nov. 4th), so I am going to be busy again. But a good kind of busy.

Gotta run needto hit the books, get dinner going, and finish the dishes before SWMBO gets home.

Let the sawdust fly!!!!!!
