Workshop Information

Location
United States
I have a dedicated building for my shop.
The building measures 28' foot wide by 40' long on the first floor.
The second floor is for wood storage amoung other things.
The shop sits in my wife flower and gardens which makes for great sounds outside from spring through fall because of all of the birds singing.
We have recently built a new home and are in the process of finishing the interiror four panel doors, trim and vanities.
I am building the doors on the main living lever with curly yellow birch. The jambs and side trim casing is steamed beach. The head trim above doors are a four piece assembly made with steamed beech and curly yellow birch. The mop boards are made with 3 pieces. The main floor is steamed beech.
The bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are all done in ash, doors, jambs, casings and mop board.
Needless to saw this is keeping the shop busy.

Many Additional shop photos can be seen on my site on the shop tour page

Garry,

You have a gorgeous shop. It looks like you have plenty of space in which to work and you have a nice set of tools to play with as well. I particularly like the sanding cabinet and the window trim. I would enjoy working in a shop like this.

Thanks for the post. I really enjoyed visiting with you.

Wow, a great shop in a very pleasant setting. It must be really enjoyable to work in. The organization is very inspiring. The cleat idea for the shelving makes a lot of sense and I think I am going to adopt that idea…thanks.

The nice thing about the cleat system it everything that utilizes it in the shop is transferable and everything has its place.

We should get together. A couple of other guys from around Just North of Manistique stop by a couple of times a year. Next time you are comming my way, let me know.
If you are interested, we have a club in our area that gets together once a month. We welcome visitors as well as new members.
