Project Information

It's nothing fancy but I thought I'd post something I've done. Its a stand to hold all the records the girlfriend and I keep. Beats a cardboard box that we had been using at least. Made with some left over scraps from trying to imitate some of the awesome cutting boards I've seen on here. Please be gentle. I am just branching out on my own. Also ignore the Christmas album, it was just used to get an idea of the size I was looking for. More of a Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc kind of guy

I like it, and like that you can flip through the records even when it's 'full' too. Nicely done :)

I like the design!
Glad to see there are others who still have their vinyl collections!

Very cool idea.

I may have to make one similar when I get to my new house. But it would be for a 'most recently played' or 'gonna play tonight' stack. I would need about 50+ of them for my collection. ;)

Nice design and looks like a good use of scraps. Welcome to LumberJocks.

Very nice! I like the segmented design, I like to make cutting boards of similar design.

I am currently remodeling our study, and will build a wall of base cabinets along one wall, with the center of it devoted to an old stereo system with turntable. Having grown up with vinyl albums and 45s, I have a pretty extensive collection (including that Fleetwod Mac album, amongst others … but I digress).

Besides a rack like you built, I am thinking that another good project would be a small rack to display an album currently being played.

Thanks for the inspiration!
