Project Information

I built these 2 cabinets completely with hand tools in my apartment living room. It took roughly 2 months and I'm happy they're finally finished. built using dowels. I figure if krenov did it that way it can't be bad right?
I'm not too crazy about the design of the handles and I might eventually change them. The grain matching was not ideal but I did the best I could with what was delivered to me.
I bought the Cherry and Padauk pre-milled and pre sanded online at Steve Wall lumber and they shipped directly to my place for a very reasonable price.
Brusso knife hinges, danish oil finish.
I think they will look ALOT better once the cherry darkens and makes less contrast with the padauk. I might put them at the window until summer to speed up the process.
I hope you like and feel free to comment.
Thanks
Marco D

The padauk is going to darken also. I think you're right the 2 woods will compliment each other better once they darken. Nice looking pieces.

Very impressive, especially considering the limitations on your workspace.

Very nice! As a fellow apartment hand tool woodworker, I can feel some of the pain in not having a workshop.
