Project Information
Here is the rest of my original Home Office T-Desk project. The 2 wings are suspended from cleats that screw into the wall studs. The tops are laminated MDF, the same as the desktop.
I wanted to practice a couple of techniques with this project, hence the reason the drawers on both sides don't match. Gayle's side has the cabinet and single drawer which each half overlay the dustframe and my side consists of the 3 inset drawers. This desk was made on the cheap as well, another reason the grain direction for the 2 sides didn't match since I wanted to use what I had. I even had to glue-up a ply panel for the shelf on my side since I was missing a piece that was wide enough.
This was a fun project and it is already coming into great use. In hindsight, the desktop my have been a little to high at 30". It works good for browsing Lumberjocks but not so great when typing up documents for an extended about of time.
Thanks for looking!
