Project Information

Recently I made a mahogany coffee table. This table is similar to a table we had in our home about 1950. So it is probably best classified as "mid-century modern".
The table is made of African Mahogany, finish is medium red mahogany dye and lacquered. Final polish of the top with pumice and rottenstone. Result is a very deep and clear smooth finish.
One of the pictures is pre-assembly and pre-finish to show the natural color of the wood.

The legs are each made of 4 curved segments with ribbed edging.

The top is back-beveled to give the illusion that it is very thin.
