Project Information

This was my first venture into making a DartBoard - what I found was that a cork backing was really expensive!!! What I substituted for that generic cork was wine corks - they can be picked/gathered from all sorts of places: bars, friends, family, …. The best part is you can generally get them for free and they provide a much better backstop for a dart then the skimpy cork layers you can generally find.

Good work on the dart board,
Cork, yep you need to ferret out a supplier of reasonable priced cork.

I made a dart board some time ago and found the same problem.
Initally I did a deal with a carpet outlet for some damaged cork floor tiles, then set about finding a decent supplier.

Some more pictures of your project would be nice, but I guess you are too busy using it !!

@Robert I didn't take too may during the process. Here's a pic with the doors closed. I did a second one for my in-laws: isn't it wonderful how you figure out how to do things better the second time around?
