Very nice, that had to be a lot of work! You must be a blackbelt with a rasp after all that work:)

I have a set of Two of the Walnut chairs In Process…
I got hung up… getting hit by sawdust in lungs…
Real Gun Shy to sand it anymore…

I have to figure a better way to sand, etc.

Lungs are better! Thank God!

Nice bunch of chairs you made! :)

What kind of sanders, etc. do you use for dust control?

Tinnman - a good set of Liogier rasps is the secret, great investment.

Joe - Festool Rotex RO90 with a Mini dust collector works great. I also wear alot of dust masks.

Excellent job. These are on my list as well.

Joe, get the best dust mask you can afford. Woodworking is wonderful, but protect your lungs.

I would love to see the armless chairs. I'm looking myself in the next couple of years at building a table with a set of maloof style chairs and I haven't seen many maloof style armless chairs so I'd love to see what you did.

Great work!

Beautiful work. mine took only 6 months to make for a set of four, I can only imagine the amount of work that you put in these.

Those are all just beautiful. You certainly have mastered the Maloof style chairs and rockers.

I am using THIS 3m Mask... With THESE Filters...

I think my main problem(s) were:

1. My vacuum hose to the sander was NOT very good.

2. When done, I took the Mask OFF TOO SOON.

Is this a good mask / filter to use?
I tried to get the best I could find.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

It's always creates a good feeling to see Maloof still being made. Having made a Maloof rocker myself I can appreciate the work that went into your project.
