Project Information

Krenov style jointing plane in maple. It's 600mm long with a 45mm wide Hock blade. The wedge is from black walnut and the cross pin is African blackwood.

I've got some wood and a blade to make a smoothing plane next. and having read Tom Fidgen's The Unplugged Woodshop i quite look of the razee jack plane he has in that.

One off the bucket list, but at least two more added.

That looks like it should be in a shop at the Indy 500 infield. Beautiful.

Beautiful plane. really love it in every way..
Is the wedge turning right direction… Looks like you rounded it on the back, might crack when you knock with a hammer. (One of mine did) - lol).

rad457 - no photos of shavings, please rest assured, it works.

Mafe - I may well have made the wedge wrong. Time will tell, at least it not too much effort to make a new wedge if needed.
