Project Information
This is my first post and I'm pretty new to woodworking. I know cutting boards are an overdone woodworking project, but I learned a lot from doing this and couldn't be happier with the results. The wood came from a single board of warped and twisted Acacia. In my limited experience this stuff is HARD to work with, but I love the look of the grain pattern. I think I'm one step closer in my wife's eyes to justifying the purchase of all my tools - maybe!
I found the idea on a google search and was compelled to find some Acacia and give this a try. It measures 13" x 13" x 1.5". I cut a finger groove on all 4 sides. I flattened it using a router jig, and rounded off all edges.
This was a great project, and has such a unique look. Thanks a lot for looking. Comments or critiques welcome.
