Beautiful design. I'll keep that in mind if and when I get a couple of grandkids of my own. Nice work.

Looks beautiful. Much nicer than anything Ikea sells. Like to see a photo with the mattresses and covers on it.

Looking over your other projects, the stuff you do looks really professional.

Don't know if pictures when the bed is made would be possible. . . . The kids NEVER make their bed!!! Going over there this afternoon and I'll see what I can do.

Appreciate all the nice comments on this project. This was my second bed project. First one was several years ago, a pencil post king size bed for my daughter.

Latest project is a sleigh style crib for our daughter-in-law. We just we're told she is expecting . . . Anyone have any plans for something like this or of a crib in general??.

Rick - I used the basic twin and full bed plans from Ana White's website. All her plans are free and easy to customize. As for the ladder, it was a case of design as you go. The only thing I would change would be the side rail connections. I would make them very solid as my grand kids are a bit rambunctious and the framework squeaked a bit until I modified it.

I think I still have my notes on this project and would be willing to scan them and send to you. Don't know if it would help but if you think it might. . .
