Project Information

A friend gave 2 see urchin shells to me, i thought they will be perfect for christmas ornaments. That turning was so much fun, that i turned a third one out of some scrape laminated rosewood. The red one was first stained black, sanded, stained deep red, sanded, stained light red and coated with shellac. The others are just polished and have a light coat of shellac.

beautiful ornaments. The turning is so very fine and delicate looking. I tried to turn a finial for a box project and it is no where are shapely and detailed as yours. You are a very talented turner.

Very pretty and fancy ornaments! Like the wood combo and the sea urchins. The finials are really dainty. Great job!
