all I do is make up ,my pattern to the lettering and size on my computer, print it out transfer it onto my wood then burn the lettering in. there is a lot of Appling upstairs on making the lettering just the size you want and to the propulsion. In other words I have done both kinds of name plates and the way I do it is more exhausting then carving it. This is only my feelings about the difference in the ways of burning or routering. Jim I would really like to see a video of the lay out of one of your signs. The way you make your signs sounds like it takes allot of time, but they sure do look good once you finish. I have heard of people making signs the way you do, but the first time I have seen to good results. Thanks again for explaining your process.
