Jim - I do the painting as well. Not my strong point for sure but me and paint are starting to get along better.

Lew - These are made from basswood 3/8" thick boards. I picked them up at the wood carving show last year and just getting around to using some of it.

how many christmas trees show only one side of the carving ?

no matter what, I would stare at that ornament with one hand over one eye until it showed the other side of its face

hoping it wasn't blank as what I see should match

What fun to this sort of craft, I am not that talented to make carvings. These are outstanding, do you sell them?

Thanks everyone for all of the comments.

Chuck - I could not carve at all 2 years ago. I joined a local carving group and they helped teach me techniques and now I can carve much better 2 years later plus I have made alot of new friends as well. I have seen your turnings and you definately have talent and could carve. I have sold a couple items so far, this weekend is our club's yearly carving show and I will be set up there with the woodturners and will have some of my turned items and carved items up for sale.
