First post for quite a while, this is a little bunch of various shapes, they are not my design but a copy of a some work by a very well known English turner David Sprignett.
These would have to be one of the best exercises in finding out how accurate you think you can turn, all the pieces are turned from two pieces of timber pre glued together, turned then split, & the centre of rotation turned then re glued to produce some fascinating results
The accuracy comes when you rotate the two halves & match up opposite faces, a millimetre difference results in a no match & another reject for the fire box
Pic 1 & 2 are a 3 branch Streptohedron.
Pic 3 & 4 are Spherion
Pic 5 is a Hexagon.
