Project Information

Well I have had quite a week and with work and I had one of my favorite bands come to my home town last week and had the pleasure of spending some great time with them. I guided their tour bus to the venue that they were playing at and got to go back stage and meet all of them .
I had met some of them in the past and if you ever get to see this band they are like a religious experience.
They put as much into there music as I put into my furniture and they hooked me up with tickets to their show about 5 hours from me. I had to deliver a piece to Chapel Hill NC and then continued to Wilmington to see them play and got to hang out with them all afternoon.
These picture I made for JJ Grey and Art Edmaiston The sax player are made of Sapele and Ebony Inlay and I made one for myself that the signed for me.
It has been a long yet ,Great week .

PLEASE take the time and watch the you tube video Below! I am not much into the religion thing but this is what I play in my shop to put so much into my work and life….

Cool frame, the inlay makes it great. I lived in FLA in the 2000s and saw Mofro quite a bit before they got signed and became JJ Grey and Mofro. The shows were about $5 cover to get into Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa then. The experience then was quite a bit more intimate as the more original 4 piece. The first three albums are always in my car, and shop too;)

Naptownwood,I moved to Asheville area from Naples Fl in 2010. That was a change from growing up in VT to south Fl.

Ya,the long hair ,camo hat,and organ days with Daryl are long gone. I was at skippers for the release party for lochloosa cd. That place is a great place to see them.

Got to get to work. Thanks

Thats funny, i was there for that. Never missed them at skippers. I lived in Brandon, which is the east side suburb of tampa.

I am still amazed that guy isnt more famous than he is, i mean, how much soul do you have to have to break into the top 40 these days? JJ has more soul in the tip of his little finger than any of the chart toppers i have seen in a while.

I am a wetland ecologist, so the song Florida off the first album, and lochloosa are faves of mine.

Brian,
Sounds (no pun intended) like you had a great time. And a little woodworking too. Beautiful woodland.
