Project Information

This is a chest of drawers made for a neighbor.
It is made from 3/4 plywood. the drawers are made from half inch plywood with 3/4 ply face. The drawer bottoms and the back are made from 1/4 ply. The legs are stock 1 by 4 pine plained and glued together then cut on the table saw. (I could not find a stock or standard foot that I liked.)

Sorry for the crooked pictures. In did this from a tablet and I do not have it figured out yet.

I see your link takes you to a department store so I thought I'd ask if you done from purchased plans? I've found good dresser plans are hard as hell to find!

That's a nice simple chest of drawers. Looks great and will probably last generations. From your description it would be cheap enough to build several without breaking her bank!

Edwardnorton: Glad you like it. The plans are my own but I did get many of the design ideas from books that I have. I think it most closely resembles the Shaker style. I have added a snapshot of one of my working drawings that I used. You'll notice the drawing has two top drawers but I changed that feature on the fly to one solid drawer.
