Project Information

Thank you Sinister! Here is my first try at a Sinister board, it is a walnut, hard maple and jatoba. I glued up a 7' log, cut it into 1- 1/4" pieces and made two boards in different patterns. This was quite the challenge to clamp. I would like to express my appreciation to all of the LJ's out there for sharing their ideas, this board will make a much better gift than some junk made in China.

It was sanded up to 1000 grit, with a change from dry to wet sanding paper at 220 grit and instead of water mineral oil was used for wet sanding.

Greetings from the socialist capital of America - California.
There is more than one reason they call it the 'left coast'?

I like this alot, but realize I need to expand my clamp ownership by a factor of 4 or 5.

Here is the +1 to the sinister board, again wet sanded to 1000 grit and both boards (this one and the sinister copy) share dado cut handle grabs.

Thanks LJ's for the kind words, and thanks Patrick for sharing a design inspired by terrible curtains! 3 cheers for Sinister… The man! The myth! the legend!

Howdy J,

This is another side of your mastery. Beautiful boards. They look way to difficult for me.
