Project Information

There's some wood here, so it counts right? This is my first attempt at making a knife. It's a lockback folder, with an O1 blade, bocote scales, and brass liners/hardware. I ground and heat treated the blade myself, and resawed the scales to bookmatch the grain. The wood is finished with waterlox, then wipe-on poly, then buffed and waxed (with carnauba). The heat treatment left a neat texture on the blade that I kept while polishing. There are a few flaws but I think it came out pretty well.
